Okay, so I haven’t been posting much lately. Call it the summer doldrums, or just plain laziness. It’s hot, the kid’s finished with kindergarten that old pool just looks so inviting…
Anyway, I’ve been doing a lot of research on all those cool new techy gadgets. My would-be plan is to set up some sort of tech-review site. Now, at my age, it’s not so easy to keep current. I read Wired, I watch C-Net on Tivo, sometimes I just hang out in Best Buy, listening to the kids that work there talking to the other customers. It’s amazing what you can learn if you just lurk around like you have some sort of clue what’s going on…
Anyway, Bluetooth… At first I thought it was some weird mouth disease, finally I found out it’s just a protocol that lets devices communicate. So Bluetooth is the reason you see people walking down the street talking to themselves. It seems to be a fairly simple technology – why the silly name? Just to confuse boneheads like me I guess.
So is all this leading somewhere? Well… I guess. Let’s see, hmm… If I was confused about something like Bluetooth —maybe others are as well. So, now that I know what Bluetooth is, ah…I can explain it to others.

Has a certain ring to it doesn’t it? Okay, so maybe it’ll never go anywhere. But, my point (and I do have one) is that one of the best ways to find a niche to build a site around is to simply look in your own backyard. Think about what you, your friends and your family are searching for on the web.
What kind of answers are they trying to find?
