I’ve been a member of the Authority Site Center (ASC) for over two years now. I’ve seen a lot of changes both on the web and within the membership of ASC. However, one thing has remained consistent – ASC knows about web traffic and they know how to get it.

Case in point is my friend from the ASC forums, Rusty Moore. Rusty’s site, Fitness Black Book is entering its fourth month of existence. The site is in the very lucrative and highly competitive fitness niche. Yet, each month, this site has generated bigger and bigger traffic numbers.
In a post Rusty made earlier this week, he reported that his traffic stats for month three were a whopping 12,310 visitors with an average of 2.72 page views per visitor. Let me repeat, this is a site that didn’t even exist in the spring of 2007!
So how has Rusty been able to pull this off?
Simple, he’s following the ASC plan. He did his research early on, he found a niche that he was interested in, he’s been developing good content – not just keyword optimized content, but real information that his niche cares about and wants to read. And his audience has responded. Not only are his visitors reading his content, they’re also posting comments on his site (an average of over 8 comments per post).
Is your site seeing these kinds of numbers?
…If not, then Download the Authority Blackbook and get a sneak peak at how we ASC members greedily suck up more then our fair share of web traffic.

I just signed up for BlogRush today. Blogrush is a free service, it’s kind of a Web 2.0 version of a banner exchange.
You can see it in action in the left sidebar on my site. Blogrush works using your RSS feed. When you sign up (it’s free), you get a small piece of code to install in your site. I installed mine using my sidebar widget, but you can just paste the code in your sidebar if you don’t have widgets installed.
There are a couple of cool things about Blogrush. First, when someone clicks on a Blogrush link, the link opens in a new page, so you’re not losing the visitor. Next your content is displayed 1 to 1, so for every display of Blogrush on your page is displayed on the network. It’s also mult-tiered, you get 1 to 1 displays down (I think 10 levels). Lastly, and this is a cool feature, you can have multiple blogs in the system and you can configure it to send more (or all) of your displays to on blog. This is good if you have a site that’s getting traffic and you’re launching a new site —you can send all the traffic to the new site. It’s cool.
I recommend you check out Blogrush before they start charging for it. Check it out here!

Membership sites are huge now. Guru’s everywhere are pushing them, offering services for them, there’s some major buzz going on right now. Anyway, we internet marketers think we’re pretty savvy and that we know all the cool ways to make a buck, but here’s something that probably Mike Filsaime never even thought of.
I call it the ultimate membership site. Here’s what you do.
1) Promise to help someone when they need help.
2) Charge them a monthly fee for this service
3) Keep charging them this fee, as long as they don’t bother you at all or ask for any help.
4) Lastly and here’s the important part… When it seems like they may need help in the near future —drop them, just say that you’re worried that helping them may cost you more money then you want to spend.
Do you think this business plan would work?
Well guess what some of the biggest companies’ in the world follow this exact business plan. They’re called insurance companies. And right now, insurance companies are dropping customers like flies, simply because they live in an area that may get hit with a hurricane in the future. Some of these customers have been with their respective insurance companies for years and may have never even filed a claim. Yet, the companies can legally drop them simply because they MAY one day file a claim.
Now …and here’s the really cool part. These same insurance companies have been able to get rate hikes by …and listen closely here… by claiming that they need more money to pay the claims of the people who live in areas that …MAY… get hit by a hurricane. Now, remember, these are the same people from step four of the business plan above, the ones that are being dropped because they live in areas that …MAY… get hit by a hurricane.
Oh… and this is all perfectly legal!

I was just browsing the Wealthy Affiliate forum today when I came across a post with this title “First $1000 month – No Adspend!”. The poster, a fellow named Jay who has been a WA member for all of five months just finished his most profitable month ever with over $1,000 in affiliate commissions.
Now let’s put this in a little more prospective. August is one of the slowest months on the web. Most people are out doing summery things and not spending much time web surfing. Things usually pick up near the end of August with school starting and all, but the first few weeks are absolutely DEAD.
Also, Jay didn’t have to spend a single dime to make this $1,000. He used only the free techniques that are taught at WA. He didn’t use Pay Per Click, and he doesn’t have a website. Heck, this isn’t even a full time job for him, he does this part time.
Jay’s advice: “Just keep working at it and the results will show”
Want to learn how to make money online? And I mean real money, using real techniques and not some “fly by night scheme”…
