For over a year I’ve belonged to a group called Content Desk. It’s an online community that’s run by several Online marketing gurus-including Jack Humphrey of The Friday Traffic Report fame. The mission of Content Desk, now called RPM - Institute is to help it’s members become content website publishers.
The system consists of several state of the art custom software applications. These tools help with the rudimentary tasks of getting content published to your site. As their system evolved, they moved to a very customized (SEO Optimized) wordpress platform, as opposed to having us build static websites, we now were encouraged to move over to blogging software. All of this was fine – (this website AffiliateProfitCenter.com is built using the RPM - Institute tools) – however getting your system up and running took some technical know-how.
Now, I come from a techie background, I like getting my hands dirty, playing with and tweaking software. Most people don’t however! That meant, that their support system was always overworked, trying to get sites up and running, after the owners got tired and threw their hands up…
Well… I just participated phone call earlier this week and it looks like all that’s about to change. RPM-Institute has now developed an almost Push Button system, for getting new sites ready for their members. They’ve done this by taking the installation portion away from its members. Starting next week, we (the membership) will get one new website per month. This site will have all the RPM-Institute software tools pre-installed, along with customized banners and color scheme. We (the membership) will simply request a site and a few days later we’ll be adding content to it.
In other words, it will allow those of us who want to create content-rich websites to do just that. We won’t have to get bogged down with the techie details of putting a site together, installing the software, designing the look and feel, we just make a request and start gathering content…
I’m really excited about this new chapter in the evolution of website design. I plan on writing a full review of the new system along with samples of the websites very soon.
